I Want Chocolate!!!!!

Today started with a great weight loss on the scale.  I weighed in at 271.8 this morning, almost exactly 2 pounds since yesterday.  However, my blood sugar was up to 135 upon waking up.  I completely forgot to plan my day today so scrambled for Keto food to take to work.  Let's start by saying my Macros are 110g Protein,  71g Fat, and 20g of Carbs.  I obtained my macros from the pinned post at Ketogenic Dieters.  You will notice that I always list my macros Protein, Fat and then Carbs.  This seems to be the norm among Keto followers that I have read about.

I always start my day by taking my two Thrive pills, shower, dress, put on my patch and then drink my shake.  I mix my shake with unsweetened almond milk and 1tbsp of peanut butter.  Breakfast ends up being 20g Protein, 13g of Fat and 14g of Carbs. This leaves me with 90g Protein, 58g of Fat and 6g of Carbs.  Because I didn't plan in advance, I needed to start my planning after breakfast, so that left me limited.  I decided we are having broccoli cheese soup for dinner, 14g, 28g, 5g.  Unlike the group above, I do plan snacks into my day.  Usually they are just cheese sticks or mini mozzarella balls.  I'll be honest, I'm dying for something sweet.  I tried a keto chocolate mug cake last night made with coconut flour and it was gross.  I won't even put the link here as I would never suggest anyone to make that recipe.  It was like eating chocolate saw dust.  Still trying different recipes.  Will keep you all posted.

Knowing all this, it left me with 62g, 28g and 2g on my macros.  I purchased a Starkist Tuna Salad packet for lunch and had 6 slices of salami with cream cheese.  I went over my carbs by 3g.  I have 46 protein left to use and 177 calories.  I have no idea how to fit that in at dinner.  If you have ideas, let me know.  My blood sugar after lunch was 109.  I am considering starting my Janumet back at night as it seems that might help my morning numbers.  I am going to try a couple more days because I am still struggling getting my carbs where they need to be. 

I have been fighting an ongoing headache.  I assume that is the Keto Flu that they all speak of.  I took a "shot" (drink) of salt water this morning to try to help, but alas, I still have a headache.  I have dealt with headaches and migraines all my life until I started Thrive.  After Thrive they have been few and far between.  So, this is really nothing new for me.  Keep in mind that by this time of day I have already had 3 full 32oz. glass fulls of water, so it really isn't because of not having enough water.

Today, I took a selfie (which I don't do, EVER) to see how my double chin was looking.  I'll say it is disappearing.  I still have a little, but not much.  What do you think?
